What about radar from MASH? I browsed your site and didn't see him. my appologies if it was there and I missed it.
I have emailed you before stating that Erin Chambers is a Famous Mormon! She was in the movie "The Singles 2nd Ward" as the red head that was getting married to Kirby Heyborne's character. She has also been on ER, Bones, Days of Our Lives, Without A Trace, Drake and Josh, just to name a few. I know for a fact she is LDS because she was my JC at Girl's Camp when I was younger, and in my stake! So, please please please, add her to your list!
Thanks Emily I added her to the page she is a great addition !
Oh yeah. I almost forgot. One of the Elders I served with on my mission, Rich Lambourne, was on the US gold medal volleyball team in Beijing this summer.
Actually, according to Mormon Times, there were 17 LDS athletes in the Beijing olympics. It looks like you've got your work cut out for you! Let me know if you need any help!. (*g*)
I just now saw your listing of the LDS Beijing olympians at http://famousmormons.net/olympians2.html. So nevermind I guess!
Ron, thanks for a fascinating website. I love it!
I noticed Saito Yuki was on your list, but there are several other church members I can think of who are well known in Japan:
Kent Derricott, entertainment. Appeared frequently on Japanese variety shows. He is extremely well known and well liked in Japan. He is probably better known than the church itself there.
Kent Gilbert also appeared in many variety shows in Japan and is well known.
Yukihiro Matsumoto, creator of the Ruby programming language. He is known to many software developers worldwide because of the recent popularity of Ruby on Rails programming framework.
Just a note on McKay Christensen (baseball). He became well known in Japan when he elected to put off playing in the Major Leagues and serve a 2 year mission to Tokyo. News media across Japan covered the story.
Thanks!
second that one for the ruby fella [computer science category]
Also
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_H._Bailey
David Bailey is a famous computer scientist who helped develop one of the "top 10 algorithms of the 1900's" or something like that.
You need to make a separate page for Christian Jacobs (you have him under Aquabats) as he had some child-actor stuff (was the voice for Cubbi on the Gummi Bears, best cartoon ever) and even better now is that he's the co-creator for the hit kids show Yo Gabba Gabba. Check out his Wikipedia.
And I would update Stephenie Meyer's section on the site since she's much more famous now.
Last but not least, I happen to know that Supermodel Isabeli Fontana was a baptized member (though apparently hasn't been active since a teen). I served in her ward as a missionary and the members remembered when her family converted and she was in primary. Her name was still on the records (along with the rest of her inactive family) so we went to her house and talked to her brother, not that we expected to find her there. At this time she was on billboards all around Curitiba, Brazil.
She's been in Sports Illustrated and Victoria's Secret.
And I just remembered Branden Steineckert who was the drummer for The Used and is now the drummer for Rancid. And the singer of The Used, Bert McCracken. Both were raised LDS but are no longer active.
Is Mike Leach on there? He's the head football coach at Texas Tech. I didn't search the entire website, but I didn't notice him.
What about Julianne and Derek Hough from DAncing With the Stars? She has said that she is/was LDS in other interviews.
What about Grant Wilson of SciFi's Ghosthunters ?
He is stated to be LDS on IMDB and Wikipedia. Now I know Wikipedia isn't the best source but IMDB is pretty good.
Troy Beals
Don't forget Anthony Dunn. He played football for the Colorado Crush. He is now playing for the Philadelphia team in the Arena Football. He was raised in Manassa, Colorado and has a brother serving a mission at the present time.
I am surprised that you have not included Mike Ramsdell, author of A Train to Potevka. His semi-autobiographical spy novel is self published, but has sold over 150,000 copies to date.
Morgan White. Famous for being Pogo Poge on a children's variety show in Hawaii called "Checkers & Pogo." He was also in a few episodes of Hawaii Five-0 and various voice over work.
How about the author Jason Wright?
Ali Vincent was baptised mormon at 8 years old. I know this because I am her Mom! So the Pink Team on Season 5, of The Biggest Loser, Ali Vincent and Bette-Sue Burklund are both LDS!
Ali is the First Female to
ever win the show! Bette-Sue is still VERY active and proud to be LDS!
Thanks Bette Sue I added her thanks
Ali Vincent the winner of season 5 of The Biggest Loser and the first female winner. Was Baptised at 8 yrs old (currently in active) I know because I am her mom! And I am Very Active LDS member! And also on the show with Ali...Bette-Sue Burklund. Go Pink Team!
Hi
I stumbled across your blog on LDS BLOGS. I thought you mighe be interested in a site my wife and I just built called MormonsMadeSimple.com, which uses simple, explanatory videos to explain the Mormon faith. Feel free to feature any of these videos on your blog, or just share them with non-member friends. We're hoping these videos will be missionary tools to help members share their beliefs. Anyway, sorry to spam your comments section. I couldn't find any contact information for you on your blog.

Ryan Gossling (The Notebook, Remember the Titans).
Gary Carter is a well known western/cowboy artist that is a member. He served in the bishopric in West Yellowstone, Montana. He has a website that you can visit to get more information on him.
Cove Reber from the band Saosin is a member.
Cove Reber from the band Saosin is also a member.
Jay North aka Dennis the Mennis joined the church in the 1970's
I also forgot Leon Parsons. I didn't see him either. He is also a famous painter. He is responsible for the painting of Christ that is used most in the church. He also has had several paintings on the cover of outdoor magazines.
Sorry again, saw Del after I commented. Love this site!
Wesley Ruff, abc4 sports
Ok, I'm surprised that no one has mentioned Stephenie Meyer, the author of Twilight.
Also, Brandon Sanderson, the fantasy author who was chosen to finish the Wheel of Time series after Robert Jordan died, and has some really amazing fantasy of his own deserves to be on this list.
Many of these are aready at www.famousmormons.net but there are some other ones mentioned on here I need to check out and add thansk ! Ron
